      In the near future, "The Running Man" is the top-rated show on television, a deadly competition where contestants must survive 30 days while being hunted by professional assassins. Desperate for money to save his sick daughter, Ben Richards is convinced by the show's ruthless producer to enter the game as a last resort. Ratings soon skyrocket as Ben's defiance, instincts and grit turn him into an unexpected fan favorite, as well as a threat to the entire system.

     Ulysses Everett McGill (George Clooney) is having difficulty adjusting to his hard-labor sentence in Mississippi. He scams his way off the chain gang with simple Delmar (Tim Blake Nelson) and maladjusted Pete (John Turturro), then the trio sets out to pursue freedom and the promise of a fortune in buried treasure. With nothing to lose and still in shackles, their hasty run takes them on an incredible journey of awesome experiences and colorful characters.

     Miss Mona (Dolly Parton) runs the Chicken Ranch, a brothel with a long history in a small Texas town. The locals have a good relationship with the institution, and Mona is respected in the community. The sheriff, Ed Earl Dodd (Burt Reynolds), also looks out for the Chicken Ranch due to his past with Miss Mona. However, when pious reporter Melvin Thorpe (Dom DeLuise) exposes the brothel, outside interests want it shut down, putting the governor (Charles Durning) in a tough spot.

     Now demonized as the Wicked Witch of the West, Elphaba lives in exile in the Ozian forest, while Glinda resides at the palace in Emerald City, reveling in the perks of fame and popularity.      Clay Spencer (Henry Fonda) and his wife, Olivia (Maureen O'Hara), live in a small town deep in the mountains. When Clay isn't busy drinking with his buddies or railing against the town minister (Wally Cox), he's building the house he's always promised Olivia. He is overjoyed when he learns his eldest son (James MacArthur) will be the first Spencer to attend college, if he can resist the charms of a pretty local girl (Mimsy Farmer) and rustle up the money for tuition.

     Easily excitable Neal Page (Steve Martin) is somewhat of a control freak. Trying to get home to Chicago to spend Thanksgiving with his wife (Laila Robins) and kids, his flight is rerouted to a distant city in Kansas because of a freak snowstorm, and his sanity begins to fray. Worse yet, he is forced to bunk up with talkative Del Griffith (John Candy), whom he finds extremely annoying. Together they must overcome the insanity of holiday travel to reach their intended destination.

      Rejecting his cultured upper-class background as a classical pianist, Robert Dupea (Jack Nicholson) opts for a blue-collar existence, working in a California oil field and spending time with his waitress girlfriend, Rayette (Karen Black). But when Robert discovers that his father is gravely ill, he wants to reunite with his estranged family in the state of Washington. He and Rayette take a road trip that brings the two paths of his life to an uncomfortable intersection.

    Santa's elves are despondent and losing their Christmas spirit and voices because the humans have stopped playing carols and are focused only on gift-*getting*! Come out for this charming, heart-warming, very funny Musical Christmas Show.

    Mineola Christmas Parade and Celebration!

    Dec 6 at 4:30 PM!

    FREE to attend!

     The Mineola Chamber of Commerce will be hosting our annual lighted Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 6th. We will have a small Christmas Market on S. Johnson Street starting at 4:30pm with the parade beginning around 5:30pm. After the parade wraps up, Santa Claus will head over to the downtown gazebo for families to take pictures.
